The main purpose

The main purpose of my blog is to use a positive outlook in education. I believe that students, or anyone for that matter, strives to achieve more when they have a positive outlook. I am a firm believer in speaking positive, and building children up with positive words. I would like to use this blog as a place for anyone to go that needs a little encourging.

Welcome

Hi, My name is Kari. I would like to welcome you to my blog. Just to tell you a little about myself, I am happily married and have three girls. My husband and I started our own business shortly after we married. We spend most of our time at church, and I am a sunday school teacher. I was a stay at home mom when my girls were young. I would work with my girls and teach them like we were at school everyday. I love to work with children, so I decided to go back to school to be a teacher. I have been attending SVCC on and off for 11 years. I know that sounds crazy but I took a little break when I had my girls. I am graduating this spring at SVCC and plan to go to ODU. I'm almost there. It has taken me quite a while, however, I know it is going to be well worth it when I receive my degree. I know that it will be worth every moment when I get to help other children. To help teach and prepare them for what the future holds for them. I believe that being a teacher will be the greatest opportunity.

SOL 1.1

Now go ahead and try something a little different. Take these online tests to see how much you have learned. You can choose to count to 10, 30, 50, or 100. Just fill in the blank with the missing number. I know that we are not actually counting the objects, we are filling in numbers. However, it is the same basic concept.
